Reservation and cancellation policy
Deposits
1. Brookby
Motel reserves the right to request the payment of a deposit equal to at
least one night's accommodation, or the provision of a credit card
number, to secure any reservation made in advance.
2. Any
deposit paid will be offset against accommodation utilised between the
dates specified in the reservation.
3.
Deposits made will be refunded if cancellation of the reservation is
advised to Brookby Motel by 10am on the date of arrival specified in the
reservation. Any refund after that time will be at the discretion of
Brookby Motel and may be dependent upon the Motel being able to relet
the unit
Cancellation
Fee
4. In the
event of any reservation being cancelled later than 10am on the date of
arrival specified in a reservation made in advance, Brookby Motel
reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee equal to one night's
accommodation.
5. In the
event of a deposit having been paid, the cancellation fee will be
deducted from the deposit.
6. Where
the number of a credit card has been taken as security, and the
cancellation fee applied, the credit card will be charged. The
cardholder undertakes to cover the cost in the credit card account.
7. Where
an address is held, advice of the fee will be sent to the person paying
the deposit or the cardholder as the case may be.
Refund of
Deposit
8. Where
cancellation is made and no cancellation fee is payable, or the
cancellation fee is of less value than the deposit, the deposit, or
balance thereof, will be refunded to the payer.
9. In the
event of payment of deposit other than by credit card, refund will be
made by cheque. Deposits charged against a credit card will be refunded
to the credit card account.
10. Advice
of any refund will be forwarded to the depositor/cardholder.
Guest Does
Not Arrive
11. Where
a guest fails to appear by 6pm on the date of arrival specified in the
reservation, or such later time as may have been advised to Brookby
Motel, the Motel may cancel the reservation and relet the unit. In the
event of not being able to relet the unit, the Motel may, at its
discretion, apply a 'no show' fee equal to one night's accommodation and
charge this against any deposit held or to the credit card of the person
making the booking or forward an invoice to the person making the
reservation as the case may be.
Guest
Undertaking
12. Any
guest making reservation with Brookby Motel undertakes to do so with
full understanding of the reservation and cancellation policy specified
above, and undertakes to meet the financial commitments therein
